The Heathman Lodge has the ambience of a rustic mountain lodge, but offers a convenient location in a business area near downtown Vancouver and Portland. Vancouver's Discovery Loop Trail, less than a 10-minute drive from the hotel, is 2.3 miles long. It winds through the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Officers Row, and downtown Vancouver before linking to the Waterfront Renaissance Trail along the Colombia River.
