A relatively new property located two miles west of the Strip, the Palm Casino Resort is a real hot- spot. The winner of 17 "Best of Las Vegas" awards, the Palms draws celebrities, locals and visitors, with its cutting-edge bars, 16-screen movie theater and trendy restaurants. The 95,000-square-foot casino offers table games, 1,800 slots, traditional poker room and two high-limit areas. Entertainment options range from the trendy Ghostbar, which overlooks the Strip from an open-air deck, to the large nightclub and concert venue, Rain. Guestrooms are appointed with contemporary décors using tranquil earth tones, cherry wood furnishings, and imported bed linens. From a 55-story tower, the Palms' guestrooms can offer some of the most dramatic views of the area, particularly the Strip's glittering lights.
For dining, the resort features a food court and fine dining restaurants, including Alize and its spectacular view from the 55th floor. An outpost of Chicago's famous 9N9E Steakhouse offers prime, aged beef and an exclusive champagne and caviar bar. In addition to a three-level full-service spa, guests can relax beside one of four pools and hop the Las Vegas hotel's complimentary shuttle to the Fashion Show Mall on the Strip and the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. The Palms gained its share of fame after being featured on MTV's "The Real World Las Vegas" and attracts its share of big shots and celebs wanting to roll in Sin City's action. Near the waiting line for the elevator to Ghostbar stands a palm reader, who offers the curious a glimpse of the future. Are they going to win or go bust? |
