The Plaza Hotel and Casino on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas is generally regarded one of the best values in town, offering spacious accommodations in the heart of the "Old Las Vegas." Guests need only step outside the door to drink in the nightly spectacle that is the Fremont Street Experience, the mammoth light-and-sound show with 2.1 million lights and a 540,000-watt sound system.

Ask the servers to rattle off the lists of celebs who have dined there.
Visitors should note that the downtown area still offers the dining bargains that used to typify Las Vegas. The Plaza Hotel draws people seeking gaming action and entertainment in traditional Las Vegas away from the crushing throng two miles away on The Strip. |
