The Sofitel Hotel at the Miami International Airport is a modern facility with a European feel. Overlooking the Blue Lagoon, the huge lake that is the centerpiece of a major business park, the hotel is just six miles from downtown Miami and the area's financial district. The Sofitel caters mostly to U.S. and international corporate travelers, offering ample business services and proximity to the airport. The hotel provides wireless Internet access in public areas and high-speed Internet access in all guestrooms. For golfers, the Doral Golf Course, home to the PGA tour and famous Blue Monster course, is just 10 minutes away via transportation arranged through the concierges. Upon entering the hotel with uniformed ushers, guests are led into an art deco-inspired lobby with marble floors, brightly colored modern furniture and fresh tropical flowers. A wall of windows facing the lagoon provides plenty of natural light to the multi-story lobby and lounge area. The hotel also features an outdoor pool, fitness center and kiosk selling international newspapers.
The hotel's French owners place a premium on high-quality food in the restaurant and attached French bakery, La Petit Marche, which stocks fresh pastries, cookies and breads. The white tableclothed La Riviera, with sea foam-green leather chairs and red stemware, greets guests with crepes at breakfast to the soupe de poissons at lunch and dinner.
Guestroom furnishings continue the art-deco-theme with clean lines, plush fabrics in rich colors and comfortable seating areas. All rooms have fresh flowers, bathrobes, designer toiletries and lagoon views.
Because of the Sofitel Hotel's emphasis on business travelers, guests can arrange child care, translation services, equipment rentals, complimentary limo to the airport, and nightly turndown service with fresh flowers, premium chocolates and ice-cold bottled water.
The Sofitel Miami is offering complimentary breakfasts for up to two guests per room, for stays during 7/28/05 - 9/30/05. |
