A sanctuary six miles west of downtown Tucson, the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa offers upscale accommodations, nature-inspired spa services, plus an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course. The hotel's backdrop is the Tucson Mountain Park, a 20,000-acre nature preserve with the most significant saguaro forests in the world.
The six-story hotel offers 575 guestrooms including some suites. All guestrooms feature modern amenities and elegant décor, such as bathrooms fitted with natural stone counters and brushed nickel fixtures. Each room features views overlooking the mountains, golf course, pools or city lights. Nature- inspired touches are found throughout the hotel, including ceilings crafted from Saguaro-cactus spines and floors and walls hewn from stone.
The JW Marriott Tuscan features a 20,000-square-foot spa that includes a floor-to-ceiling glass wall with views of the stunning landscape, two luxurious lounges for men and women and a spa café. Other amenities include a variety of classes on the outdoor terrace, a pool, whirlpool, steam room, sauna, and 24 treatment rooms providing nature-inspired spa services.
Golfers will find the newly re-designed Arnold Palmer Signature Golf course winds its way through the mountains and arroyos. Originally opened as a Tournament Players Championship course in 1986, Palmer Course Design Company renovated the existing 18 holes and added nine new ones.
The resort offers a variety of dining options, including the Signature Grill, featuring a Southwestern menu; Primo, for fine Italian dining; Salud, offering cocktails and starlit views of the Tucson valley; and the Catalina Steakhouse at Starr Pass Golf Club, with private dining in the Palmer Room.
The hotel features 88,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a ballroom that accommodates up to 3,300 guests, outdoor terraces, exhibit space, banquet facilities, and boardrooms. |
