The Arabian Courtyard Bur Dubai is a modern ten-storey hotel situated in the city centre opposite the historic Dubai Museum and 300 metres from Dubai Creek. The 172 air-conditioned guestrooms feature traditional Arabic- style decor in soft neutral colours with dark wood floors and furniture. All have satellite television, newspapers, Internet connections, coffee and tea making facilities and minibars with complimentary bottled water. Bathrooms include telephones, bathrobes, toiletries and hair dryers. Guests can work up a sweat in the fully-equipped gymnasium, and then unwind in the sauna, steam room or hot tub. There are plenty of sun beds by the outdoor pool and on the sun deck, and refreshing drinks are available from the poolside bar. Kids will enjoy the children's pool, and parents will appreciate the babysitting service. The hotel has a wide range of restaurants; the Bastakiya Café serves international dishes with views of the museum's impressive 200-year-old fort, while the Sherlock Holmes is a traditional English-style pub serving bar meals and daily specials. At Mumtaz Mahal guests can enjoy live entertainment and North West Indian specialities and at the Silk Route, Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes are served amid oriental decor, or outside on the garden terrace. The Ahlan Lounge is open round the clock for snacks, drinks and light meals and room service is also available. Souvenir-hunters can find gift and postcards in the onsite shop, and multilingual staff are on hand to advise on the area's best bazaars and other local attractions. Dubai Museum, the Meena Bazaar and Dubai Creek can all be found within 300 metres. Dubai International Airport is approximately six kilometres and a 15 minute drive from the hotel.
