Lloyd Hotel is a modern design hotel located in the fashionable Eastern Docklands area, two kilometres by foot, metro or tram from Amsterdam city centre. The 116 guestrooms are individually styled with furniture designed by contemporary Dutch artists. Bathrooms also feature design furniture and vary in size and location: some are brightly coloured and situated in the centre of the room while others are hidden and can be folded out. All guestrooms have patios and some offer harbour views. Amenities include cable televisions, complimentary high- speed Internet, multi-line phones, desks and premium bedding.
Multilingual staff on the 24-hour front desk are happy to assist with laundry and room service requests. Guests can relax with a coffee and research the local area on the Internet which is available in reception. The hotel has meeting rooms for small groups and is also home to the Cultural Embassy, an organisation which brings cultural groups together to coordinate artistic exhibitions and performances. Secure parking is available for guests arriving by car and costs around EUR 20 per day. The hotel restaurant, Snel, has a dynamic, bustling atmosphere and serves classic European cuisine to guests, local residents, artists and business people. Take away and room service meals can also be ordered from the kitchen. Many of Amsterdam's cultural attractions are within easy walking distance of the hotel, including Muziekgebauw concert hall (one kilometre), Bimius, the largest jazz club in Holland (two kilometres), and Stedelijk modern art museum (two kilometres). Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is 20 kilometres (13 miles) from the hotel and takes around 30 minutes by car.
