On a street lined with 16th-century palazzos, the neoclassical Hotel Barberini is set in a restored 19th- century building with refined marble interiors, located at the foot of the Quirinal Hill. In the historical centre of Rome, the hotel is 500 metres from the Trevi Fountain, one kilometre from the Pantheon. Well located for the attractions of the Eternal City, guests can throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain, hit the shops of Via Condotti or admire the view from the Spanish Steps, all 500 metres away, while the monumental Coliseum is three kilometres from the hotel. Termini station is two kilometr es from the hotel and Rome Fiumicino Airport is 30 kilometres away. There is an express train service every 30 minutes to Rome's Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes). A single ticket costs 10 EUR. Taxis are readily available at the airport, but take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable. A taxi to the city centre will cost 50-60 EUR.
