Borgo Filetta is a restored 11th-century post-house set within a 1,100 hectare woodland estate in the Tuscan countryside, 12 kilometres from Siena. The 30 guestrooms over two floors feature original timber beams and stone walls, and are individually furnished with antique furniture. All include air conditioning, minibars, satellite television, direct-dial telephones and bathrooms with shower/tub combinations, telephones and robes. Guests can watch horses, deer and hares while exploring the hotel's 1,100-hectare grounds, or head to the neighbouring Borgo Bagnaia resort and enjoy a range of treatments for mind and body at its Buddha Spa centre. The sister resort also offers a tennis court, swimming pool and horse-riding centre. The hotel's Il Fantino restaurant features original beamed ceilings and stonework, and serves light meals, pizzas and Tuscan specialities. Motorists will find complimentary parking facilities on site, and the hotel can arrange airport transfers on request (surcharge). The Chianti wine region is within 25 kilometres of the hotel, and the medieval town of San Gimignano is 30 kilometres away. Florence Peretola International Airport is 82 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 70 minutes.
