A typical mountain chalet with dark wood balconies, the Hotel Gambrinus is situated on the outskirts of the medieval town of Abbadia San Salvatore in Tuscany, at the foot of the Amiata Mountain. The 23 guestrooms feature simple décor with light wood furnishings and balconies with views of the street or the Amiata Mountain. All rooms come equipped with televisions and direct- dial telephones.

The medieval town of Abbadia San Salvatore, dating back to 1300, offers visitors the chance to explore the Mine Museum detailing the area's history. Slightly further afield is the top of the Amiata Mountain, 13 kilometres (eight miles) away by car, which offers spectacular panoramic views of the area. The town also has indoor and open-air tennis courts and a swimming pool, although guests may wish to travel the extra seven kilometres (4.5 miles) to the thermal spa at Bagni San Filippo. Florence Airport is 200 kilometres from the hotel. From the airport, take a train to Stazione di Santa Maria Novella in Florence, from where IC trains to Chiusi-Chianciano Terme station are available. From there, take the bus to Abbadia San Salvatore, or a taxi which will cost around 50 Euros.
