Situated overlooking Lough Corrib, the Glenlo Abbey Hotel is a converted 18th century abbey set in a 138-acre estate, originally home to Galway's tribal leaders, four kilometres from the city centre. The 46 guestrooms, some with lakeside views, feature traditional décor with warm fabrics and dark wood furnishings. The nearest airport is Shannon International Airport, which is 91 kilometres from the hotel. Regular bus services are available from outside the terminal building to Limerick with connections to all of Ireland's major cit ies.
