The Bonsai Caen is a basic modern hotel located just outside the town centre of Caen and five kilometres from the beaches of the D-Day Landings. The 50 guestrooms are spread over two stories and have a simple light decor. All include satellite television, direct dial phones with wake-up calls, desks, full-length mirrors and private bathrooms with showers.
Although there is no restaurant on site, the hotel offers a buffet breakfast in the morning (5 EUR surcharge). Multilingual staff on the front desk can help with advice on the hotel and surrounding area. There is free parking on site. The hotel is five kilometres from Caen, where guests can visit the Second World War Memorial and the Musee de Normandie, and the beautiful Chateau de Caen is six kilometres away. Caen Airport (CFR) is 10 kilometres (six miles), approximately 10 minutes by car.
