Newly opened in 2005, the Petit Palace Posada del Peine is a contemporary design hotel set in an historic building dating from 1610 and located by the east gate of Madrid's Plaza Mayor, right in the centre of the city. With sleek modern decor and minimalist furnishings, the 71 air-conditioned guestrooms are spread over four floors and all include 23-inch flat screen televisions with satellite channels, direct-dial phones, hair dryers, laptop-size safes, complimentary high-speed Internet connections and minibars.
