With a $25 million facelift wrapping up in September 2005, Singapore's Marina Mandarin hotel stands less than five minutes away from the vibrant shopping, restaurants and nightclubs along Orchard Road and is connected to Marina Square Shopping Center's more than 300 shops, restaurants and entertainment options. Guests are near the Singapore River, museums, Chinatown, the Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Center, and Singapore Expo. The Marina Mandarin is expected to reopen on Sept. 1, 2005, once renovation winds down. The project includes all renovated guestrooms and adding wireless Internet access; an Executive Center; spa and fitness center; enhanced meeting and conference venues; and a new ballroom and international restaurant.
Continuing with dining options will be Ristorante Bologna, the Italian restaurant, and Peace Blossoms, which will serve Chinese cuisine, including homemade Hong Kong Dim Sum to choirs of chirping birds.
The remodeled Singapore hotel will offer 575 guestrooms and 18 suites with cable/satellite TVs, bathrooms and slippers, and safe large enough to accommodate a laptop. Business-class rooms will add personalized check-in and check-out, welcome drinks in the Atrium Lounge, complimentary three-hour wireless Internet access, discounts on most executive center services and 37-inch plasma TVs. Club rooms and suites will offer welcome amenities from Senses Patisserie, complimentary breakfasts and 24-hour wireless Internet access, evening cocktails, discounts on most executive center services and 37-inch plasma TVs.
Since Marina Mandarin sits in the middle of all the action, families, couples, friends and business travelers literally will enjoy having a completely renovated hotel and Singapore right at their doorsteps.
